Amanda Dinan
Amanda’s background is a freelance professional working in the environmental and social and climate change industry. Her association with CDM Africa extends to 2006, providing services to develop projects.
Amanda has professional experience in South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique and Lesotho, working within the public sector, consulting firms and as an independent consultant on a range of projects in areas of mining, exploration, industrial and infrastructural development and planning – and has ten years experience in environmental impact assessment and environmental management.
While working in the financial services sector, she played a key role in the development of the country’s first shareholder activist unit trust fund. As an analyst her work focused on long term financial risk: including climate change and shareholder value and the energy security issues in Southern Africa. Amanda has published a number of articles and presented on topics of sustainable business practices and global climate change and shareholder value and has been involved with CDM project development since 2006.
Amanda’s undergraduate is in Economics (University of Natal, 1988) with an honours degree from UCT in Environmental Science (1994).
